Opus supports a number of the most popular formats for these files and some have different characteristics to recommend them. For sound files MP3 is widely available and is a compact but competent format.
For video we recommend MPEG1 as the most versatile and widely supported. The new ASF format automatically provides streaming of the video in Opus. Quicktime is a competent and popular format but note that QuickTime replay requires that QuickTime v4 or greater is installed.
