Stop Wave Sound Action

This action is used to select a sound (or sounds) that you wish to stop playing.

Note:
Because the Midi sound is a different format to other sound types, a separate Stop Midi Sound Action has been provided to stop Midi files.

Setting up the Stop Wave Sound action:

1. Add the Stop Wave Sound action to your trigger, as described in adding actions. The Stop Wave Sound tab will automatically appear when you add the action.

2. Click on the All Wave sounds option if you want to stop all sounds currently playing in your publication.

3.  Click on the Sounds on channel option if you want to stop all sounds playing on one particular sound channel. When you select this option, the channel box to the right of the option will become active. Click on the down arrow to the right of the box to select the channel number from the list.

4. Click on the The specific sound file selected below option to stop a specific sound file from playing. When you select this option, the sound file list becomes active, then select the sound file from the list that you want to stop playing.

5. Click on the Fade out in option if you want the sound file (or sound files) to fade out over a specified amount of time. Use the spin buttons to the right of the fade out box to set the number of seconds required for the fade.

6. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.
