Actions: Question Condition

This is a conditional action for Questions allowing you to set up a series of actions which are dependent on a specific state of the Question or its answers. It is a version of the Programming IF but specific to Questions. It does not perform an action itself, you add further actions beneath it which you want to rely on the condition being tested.

Setting up the Question Condition:

  1. Add the Question Condition action to your trigger, as described in adding actions. The Question tab will automatically appear when you add the action.

  2. Choose one of the Perform action if… radio buttons to decide if you want the action to check if the situation is true or false.

  3. Select the Question you want to examine from the drop down list proivded.

  4. You can then select a radio button to check for the following:

    1. Not answered – the question has not been answered which could be used to tell the user they must answer the question before proceeding.

    2. Answer selected – allows you to specify a particular answer which could be used to deicde on feedback or to suggest revision or to set a redirect to a different question.

    3. Answered correctly – allows you to respond to a correct answer with feedback or perhaps decide on the next question.

    4. Answered incorrectly – similarly allows you to respond to an incorrect answer.

    5. Reached Retry Limit – allows you to respond to the fact that the user has used all the available attempts at a question.

  5. Click the Apply button to save your changes.

If you do not use this option to confirm the Question the scoring variables will not be updated. You cannot confirm questions on different pages.
