Synchronise to Animation Loop

The Synchronise to Animation Loop trigger allows you to trigger an action each time an object’s animation starts a new loop. In other words, every time an animation is repeated, so is the list of actions for this trigger.

An animation is considered to be any of the actions in the Animation menu of the Actions dialog (e.g. Follow Path, Scroll, Move, etc.).

If you only want the list of actions for this trigger to happen once, use either the Synchronise to Animation Start or Synchronise to Animation End trigger.

Setting up the Synchronise to Animation Loop trigger:

  1. Add the Synchronise to Animation Loop trigger to your Actions Organiser, as described in Creating and Editing Actions. The Synchronization tab will automatically appear when you add the trigger.

  2. Click on the name of the object in the Object column of the Animation object list that you want to synchronise with.

Note:
The Object column shows the name of ALL the objects on the current page regardless if they have an animation attached to them or not. If the object you select does not have an animation attached to it, then this trigger will not work.

Furthermore, if the object does have an animation but it is not set to repeat (i.e. it plays only once) then this trigger will not work.

  1. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.

  2. Click on the Actions tab in the Actions dialog to select an action or actions to add to the trigger.

  3. Go to Choosing an Action to list all of the actions you can add to your trigger.
