Synchronise to Animation End Trigger

The Synchronise to Animation End trigger allows you to trigger an action when an object’s animation has stopped playing. This is particularly useful if you want to stop a sound file or hide text on the page once an animation has finished. You could also use this trigger to synchronise the start of a new animation to the end of the current one.

Note:
An animation is considered to be any of the actions in the Animation menu of the Actions dialog (e.g. Follow Path, Scroll, Move, etc.).

If the animation is set to loop (i.e. play more than once) then this trigger will only activate the list of actions at the end of the first loop. Alternatively, if you want the list of actions to repeat for the same number of times as the animation loop, use the Synchronise to Animation Loop trigger.

Setting up the Synchronise to Animation End trigger:

  1. Add the Synchronise to Animation End trigger to your Actions Organiser, as described in Creating and Editing Actions. The Synchronization tab will automatically appear when you add the trigger.

  2. Click on the name of the object in the Object column of the Animation object list that you want to synchronise with.

Note:
The Object column shows the name of ALL the objects on the current page regardless if they have an animation attached to them or not. If the object you select does not have an animation attached to it, then this trigger will not work.

  1. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.

  2. Click on the Actions tab in the Actions dialog to select an action or actions to add to the trigger.

  3. Go to Choosing an Action to list all of the actions you can add to your trigger.
