Synchronise to End Trigger

image\Trigger_Sync_End.jpg

The Synchronise to End trigger allows you to trigger an action at the end of a Sound, Slideshow or Video object been played. This is useful for allowing for variations in the speed of individual systems when playing video or sound and holding the next action until the item has finished, however long that takes.

Note:
Do NOT use the Synchronise to End trigger on a video that has the Send "Synchronise to Start" trigger option selected in the Play Video action. This will cause an infinite loop and the publication will lock up.

Setting up the Synchronise to Start trigger:

1. Add the Synchronise to Start trigger to your Actions Organiser, as described in Creating and Editing Actions. The Synchronization tab will automatically appear when you add the trigger.

2. Click on the name of the object in the Object column of the Synchronization object list that you want to synchronise with.

The Object column shows the name of the Video, Sound and Slideshow objects on the current page. The Parent column shows the name of the object’s parent if it has one, such as a Slideshow object contained within a Frame object, or a Sound object linked to a Text file. This is useful if you want to synchronise with, for example, a sound file that is used by many objects on the page – you can easily identify which copy of the sound file you want to synch with.

3. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.

4. Click on the Actions tab in the Actions dialog to select an action or actions to add to the trigger.

5. Go to Choosing an Action to list all of the actions you can add to your trigger.
