Resume Animation

image\Action_Animation_Resume.jpg

The Resume Animation action allows you to resume the animation on a particular object that had been paused with a Pause Animation action. The object will continue to play from its current state e.g. if an object is halfway through an animation it will immediately continue its current shape.

Note:
You can choose to resume all animations that have been paused or you can select specific animation styles. If an object is animated in several different ways, resuming one type of animation will leave the others to continue – this includes animation along an Animation Path.

Setting up the Resume Animation action:

1. Add the Resume Animation action to your trigger, as described in adding actions. The Resume Animation tab will automatically appear when you add the action.

2. At the top of the Resume Animation tab is the Object List. Click the name of the object in the list that you want to resume. By default, This Object is selected (see Note).

Note:
Only one object can be selected from the Object list. The default option This Object refers to the object in which this action has been placed – this option is useful if you want to copy this action to other objects that you want to resume because you do not have to re-select the new object name from the list.

3. Use the Action panel to specify the animation styles that you want to resume. By default all of the Animation actions (e.g. the Roll, Spin and Rotate actions) are ticked, which means they will continue animating when this action is triggered. If you don’t want to resume an Animation action (e.g. the Fade action) then remove the tick from the checkbox beside the name of the action.

4. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.
