The Minimise Window action allows you to minimise a particular window that the publication (or part of the publication) is being displayed in.

Note:
When a window is minimized it will close down to an icon in the taskbar (by default at the bottom of the screen) and can be re-opened to its full size by double-clicking on the icon. If the Title bar option in ticked in the Window’s tab of the Chapter’s Properties dialog, then the name of the chapter will appear in the minimized icon.

Setting up the Minimise Window action:

1. Add the Minimise Window action to your trigger, as described in adding actions. The Minimise Window tab will automatically appear when you add the action.

2. Click on the down arrow to the right of the Select window to minimise option to select the window you want to minimise. By default the main publication window is displayed in the field.

Note:
The drop down list will contain only the names of the Chapters in your publication that have been set to Display in New Window in the Windows tab of its Properties dialog.

3. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.

Note:
To open the window to its original size you can double click on the title bar or add a Restore Window action to some other part of your publication that is still visible.

This action is often used with the following actions:
