Close Window Action

The Close Window action allows you to close a particular window that the publication (or part of the publication) is being displayed in. It is most useful when you have different chapters in your publication open as new windows, which overlay the main publication window, and you wish to close the additional window down.

Setting up the Close Window action:

1. Add the Close Window action to your trigger, as described in adding actions. The Close Window tab will automatically appear when you add the action.

2. Click on the down arrow to the right of the Select window to close option to select the window you want to close. By default the main publication window is displayed in the field.

Note:
The drop down list will contain only the names of the Chapters in your publication that have been set to Display in New Window in the Windows tab of its Properties dialog.

 If you select the Default window option from the list, this is the same as exiting your publication.

3. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.
