Delete All Publication Data from Registry

The Delete All Publication Data from Registry action allows you to delete the current publication’s Windows Registry entry completely. This action allows you to specify whether you want to delete the current users registry entry or all users registry entry.

Note:
This action can only be used if you have previously created a registry entry using the Write Data to Registry action.

As an alternative to writing to the Registry you can write to a text file using the Write to Disk File or Write Text to File actions.

The Storage menu also contains the following actions relevant to this action: Write Data from the Registry; Read Data from Registry and Delete Data from Registry.

Setting up the Delete All Publication Data from Registry Action:

1. Add the Delete All Publication from Registry action to your trigger, as described in adding actions. The Delete All Publication from Registry tab will automatically appear when you add the action.

2. Select either the current user only or all users option depending on how you originally created the registry entry within the Write Data to Registry action.

Note:
For example, if you originally wrote to the registry with the all users option selected, you must select the all users options here.

3. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.

Note:
Once you have deleted the registry entry you cannot read the data labels again as they no longer exist. Any labels that you had previously read (and stored in variables within Opus) using the Read from Data Registry action, would still contain the label contents.

This action will only work for publications that you have published using the Create a Standalone Publication option in the Publish Wizard.
