You Tube Video

You can now use You Tube videos as video content in your publication (including Flash publications). The YouTube tool is provided as one of the options on the Video flyout. You can simply draw the object in place.

The Video tab will appear allowing you to specify the YouTube URL for the video you want to play. You may wish to use an internet browser to navigate to the correct video and simply cut and paste the URL from there into Opus.

You can choose to play the video automatically by selecting the Start automatically checkbox.

You can also choose to display the YouTube player controls or simply play the video. Note that in the case of the former this will force the video to be played On Top and will play over any other content in the publication.

If you choose to play the video alone without YouTube controls by selecting Display Video Only. You can choose to play it once, a set number of times or to loop continuously.

You will then need to use Opus Video actions such as Play Video and Pause Video to control the video.

Note:
YouTube video is never incorporated or embedded in your publication – playback is reliant on an internet connection being available when the publicaiton is viewed and also that the video is still available on You Tube.
