The Upload Wizard

The Upload Wizard is used when you have created a publication for distribution over the Internet.

Note:
You must be connected to the Internet to use the Upload wizard.

Using the Upload Wizard:

  1. You can open the Upload Wizard from the final page of the Publish wizard by selecting the Launch Upload Wizard option before you click on the Finish button.

  2. Alternatively, click on the Tools menu, and then select the Upload wizard option – this will open the Upload Wizard.

  3. Use the Name of the Server to upload to box to type in the name of the Server that the Web publication will be uploaded to. Click on the down arrow next to the box to list the URLs you have previously entered in this box.

  4. Type your authorisation into the Username and Password boxes to gain access to the Server. Click the down arrow next to the Username box to list your previous entries. When you type the password, it will appear as a string of asterisks (i.e. the * symbol).

  5. Tick the Remember Password option if you want the Password box to be automatically filled-in the next time you select the Username from the list box.

  6. Use the Directory box to enter the folder on the Server where the uploaded files should be saved.

  7. Click on the Next button to continue – Opus will check to see if it can access the Server – if it cannot connect, an error message will appear. Check that you have typed the correct address for the Server and Username and Password. Also check that you are connected to the Internet at the time.
