Answer Selected/Unselected Trigger

These two triggers allow you to trigger an action or series of actions when a user selects a particular answer to a particular question. The simplest use for this is to show an indication of the chosen answer – show or hide a tick mark against the answer on screen for example. Or, in the case of Answer Unselected to hide the indicator.

If the question does not require or allow confirmation then the Answer Selected trigger could also be used to display feedback and score or disable other answer objects and the Answer Unselected trigger becomes redundant.

Setting up the Answer Selected trigger:

  1. Add the Answer Selected trigger to your Actions Organiser, as described in Creating and Editing Actions. The Answer Selected tab will automatically appear when you add the trigger.

  2. From the Question drop-down select the name of the question containing the answer you want to trigger the actions.

  3. Select the index number for the answer using the spin buttons or type it into the edit box.

  4. Click Apply to save your changes.

Setting up the Answer Unselected trigger:

  1. The Answer Unselected trigger can be applied in exactly the same way as above.
