Ticker Trigger

image\Trigger_Ticker.jpg

The Ticker trigger allows you to trigger an action to occur repeatedly at set intervals. You can set the interval in seconds (and even tenths of seconds), for example, if you set the interval at 5 seconds, the list of actions will happen every 5 seconds repeatedly until the page changes.

Note:
If there is a lot happening on the page at once, (e.g. multiple objects with transition effects), this may affect the timing of the trigger, as the computer may not be able to process all of the information at the same time. If this is the case, consider using the Timeline feature instead – see Using the Timeline for more information.

Setting up the Ticker trigger:

1. Add the Ticker trigger to your Actions Organiser, as described in Creating and Editing Actions. The Ticker tab will automatically appear when you add the trigger.

2. Type the number of seconds into the Delay box or use the spin buttons to set the timing required.

3.  Click on the Apply button to save your changes.

4. Click on the Actions tab in the Actions dialog to select an action or actions to add to the trigger.

5. Go to Choosing an Action to list all of the actions you can add to your trigger.
