Saving Bookmarks

Any bookmarks currently set are automatically saved when exiting a publication and then reloaded when that publication is re-run. There are three options for where the bookmarks are stored. The bookmarks can be saved in:

A file in the system temporary directory. This is the way Opus operated in previous versions and is the default mode.

A file in the publication directory; fall back to the system temporary directory if the publication directory cannot be written to (for instance if the publication is being run from CD-ROM).

In the publication's private registry key. No external files are created. Note that if the Delete All Publication Data from Registry action is used the current bookmark information will be removed.

Note:
Flex publications will always use the registry,

Setting the bookmark save options:

  1. Select the Publication Properties option from the Publication menu. This will open the Publication Properties dialog box.

  2. Click the General 2 tab to open the general settings information. If the tab you require is not visible, use the scroll arrows image\Tabs_Scroll_Arrows.jpg to the right of the tabs to scroll the tabs left or right as required.

  3. Use the Store bookmarks in: combo box to select where bookmarks will be saved.

  4. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.

  5. Click on the OK button to close the Properties dialog box.
