Randomly Arrange Objects

In your publication you may have several images that you want to randomly place on a page. Opus allows you to randomly arrange objects horizontally between the left and right edge of the page, vertically between the top and bottom of the page or randomly across the whole page. Opus provides a shortcut via the Arrange Random option on the Arrange menu.

To randomly arrange objects automatically:

  1. Hold down the Shift key and click on all of the objects you want to arrange randomly. A bounding box will surround each object.

  2. Click on the Arrange menu and point to Arrange Random, then click on the Horizontally, Vertically or Both option. The objects will be arranged randomly in the direction you specified.
