Making Objects the Same Size

The design of your publication is likely to include objects that will look best if they are the same size – a row of buttons for example. Opus provides a shortcut for this with the Make Same Size option on the Arrange menu.

To make objects the same size:

  1. The last object selected is the primary object, in other words, the one to which all other objects will be sized. A bounding box will surround the object.

  2. Hold down the Shift key and click on all of the objects you want to size to the last selected object. These objects are the secondary objects. Notice that a bounding box appears around each secondary object – this bounding box has a thinner line surrounding the object than the primary object.

  3. Click on the Arrange menu and point to Make Same Size, then click on the Width, Height or Both option.

  4. The secondary objects will automatically be resized to the primary object once you have selected an option.
