Output Options for Printing

This section of the Print Action dialog allows you to set the options for the way the output will be created and positioned on the page including the margins and the resolution used.

  1. Choose to fit the object to the whole page of the print output or not by selecting the Scale to Fit option. Which then allows you to set the margins.

  2. Set the margins you want around your object by using the spin buttons to set the value (in centimetres). Note that the apparent margins may be increased if the aspect ratio of the output is different to the page itself.

  3. If you want the object to be centred on the page select this option by ticking the checkbox. Note that this may only be apparent when the output is not set to scale to fit the page but equally if you are only printing an object and its proportions are very different to the page then this is useful for centring your object.

  4. Finally you can choose the quality of the image of your page by choosing the resolution required from the Quality drop-down list.
