Trackers

The Trackers page in the View folder of the Options dialog box allows you to specify how the object selection trackers are displayed in the Opus editor.

The Trackers tab is split into two panels:

1. The Tracker panel allows you to set up the grid, which is used to help keep objects aligned and consistent on a page.

2. The Vector Nodes panel allows you to set the size of the nodes displayed when editing vector objects.

To edit the Tracker panel settings:

1. The Size option shows the size in pixels of the nodes displayed when editing a vector object. Use the spin buttons to increase or decrease the size of the nodes.

2. Check the Show Object Size, Angle, Shear and Position on change in Editor option to display a tooltip reflecting the new size/angle/shear or position in the centre of the current selection when any of the attributes are changed..

3. The Mouse Wheel Mode combobox determines how Opus reacts to the mouse wheel when an object is selected:

The default option (the only mode available in previous versions of Opus) causes the selected object to be rotate when the wheel is used. Holding Ctrl while using the wheel performs the page scroll option (if the current view window has scrollbars).

The alternate option reverses the default behaviour – the wheel will scroll the current view and will rotate the current selection if Ctrl is held down.

4. Use the Primary Object Colour option to select the colour of the nodes displayed on the primary selected object. Click on the down button beside the Colour box to open a drop down colour well.

5. Use the Secondary Object Colour option to select the colour of the nodes displayed on all secondary selected objects. Click on the down button beside the Colour box to open a drop down colour well.

To edit the Vector Node panel settings:

1. The Size option shows the size in pixels of the nodes displayed when editing a vector object. Use the spin buttons to increase or decrease the size of the nodes.
