Working with Multiple Triggers

In many cases you will want to make the same action (or list of actions) happen in response to two or more different triggers. The most common example of this is if you want to assign a key-press to a button that can also be clicked on.

For example, you might want to exit a publication by clicking on a button but also by pressing the letter X on the keyboard.

Setting up multiple triggers:

  1. Add the first trigger to the page/object in the Actions Organiser in the normal way. The Organiser view will change to reflect the new addition.

  2. Select the trigger you have just added in the Actions Organiser.

  3. Add the second trigger to the page/object in the Actions Organiser by dragging it over the selected first trigger or by double-clicking the trigger while the first trigger is selected. The Organiser view will change to display the multi-trigger (the triggers you have just added).

  4. Add your action (or list of actions) to the multi-trigger as you normally do for a single trigger.

Note:
Instead of having to build the same action(s) twice, you can simply set the action(s) to be triggered by multiple triggers.
