Actions: Set SCORM Value

This is one of the actions you will use for specific requirements through your publication. It allows you to send information to be stored in the online Learning Management System. Information can only be stored in data models outlines by the SCORM specification in what are called data models and needs to be of a specific format as detailed by the specification provided by ADL.

This is most often used to tell the LMS that the course has been started but is incomplete or to provide a final score.

You can use this action whenever you need to and it can be used any number of times in the publication.

You will need to know which version of SCORM your chosen LMS supports. You select this by selecting the appropriate radio button.

Opus provides a drop down list of the main data models which you might want to send data to.

Alternatively you can choose to select the Custom Value option and type in the name of the data model you want to read. This allows you to access data we have not included by default

You can then choose which information to send. You can select Text or Number radio buttons and enter text or a number directly in the boxes provided. Alternatively you can get the data from an Opus variable by selecting it from the Variable drop down (or you can use the New button to create a new variable which will be used to hold the information required).
