Actions: Get SCORM Value

This is one of the actions you will use for specific requirements through your publication. It allows you to get information stored by the online Learning Management System for use in the current publication. This is most often used to get the name of the learner or the place they left the lesson last time they tried it.

You can use this action whenever you need to and it can be used any number of times in the publication.

You will need to know which version of SCORM the LMS supports. You select this by selecting the appropriate radio button. image\ebx_1860273616.jpg

Opus provides a drop down list of the main data models which you might want to read data from.

Note:
In practice most LMS which support SCORM 2004 will also support SCORM 1.2 so this version can be chosen if you are not sure which version your resources might be used with.

Alternatively you can choose to select the Custom Value option and type in the name of the data model you want to read. This allows you to access data we have not included by default

You can then choose to put the information from that SCORM variable into an Opus variable by selecting it from the Store in drop down or using the New button to create a new one.
