Rotating Objects

You can rotate objects on the current page displayed in the work area.

To rotate an object:

  1. Click on the object to select it. A bounding box will surround the object.

  2. Move the cursor over one of the corner resize handles. The cursor will change to the resize cursor image\Cursor_Resize.jpg surrounded by another grey arrow image\Cursor_Resize_Handle.jpg.

  3. Move the resize cursor over the grey arrow and the cursor changes to the rotate cursor image\Cursor_Rotate.jpg

  4. Click and hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse to rotate the object.

Note:
If you press the Shift key while rotating this will restrict the rotation to the grid intervals, even if the grid is not on.

  1. Release the mouse when you have rotated the object to the correct position.

Note:
Using the method described above you can rotate more than one object at a time. Instead of selecting a single object, hold down the Shift key as you select all the objects on the page that you want to rotate. Then follow the instructions above. Each object will be rotated by the same amount.

If you want to rotate an object to a specific degree, use the Rotate option in the General tab of the object’s Properties dialog box.

You can also align objects to the same angle as a previously rotated object using the Align Rotation option in the Arrange menu.
