Change Data Paths

The Change Data Paths tool allows you to access the publication on different network drives or different workstations. You can use this tool to change the data drive for resources in the Resource folder when you have consolidate resources.

The Change Data Paths tool appears in two menus at the top of the Opus Editor:

The Change Data Paths tool works in the same way for both publications and galleries, below is a description for the publication option only.

Note:

Using the Change Data Paths tool:

  1. Select Change Data Paths from the Publication menu – this will open the Change Data Paths dialog.

  2. Use the Remap resources at this location box to enter the pathname to the current Resource folder. Click on the Browse… button to locate the Resource folder on your system.

  3. Use the To this location box to enter the new pathname where the resource files in the Resource folder will be remapped to. Click on the Browse… button to locate the new folder on your system.

  4. Click the OK button to start the remapping process – the Change Data Path dialog will close and the Change Data Path List will show the resources been remapped.

  5. Click the OK button in the Change Data Path List to close the dialog.
