Vector Pen tab

The Vector Pen tab in the Polygon Properties dialog is used to set the colour, width, transparency and style of the outline of a vector.

To edit the Vector Pen tab settings:

  1. If the Stroked checkbox is ticked, the current polygon has an outline. Tick the box to add an outline if the polygon does not already have one and set the other Stroked panel options. Alternatively, to remove an outline from the current polygon, remove the tick from the Stroked panel.

  2. Use the Colour box to change the colour of the outline. Click on the down arrow below the Colour button to open the colour wells – see drop down colour wells for more information.

  3. Use the Width box to set the width of the stroke. Click on the down arrow to select a width from the list.

  4. Use the Transparency box to set the level of transparency. Use the spin buttons to set the level of transparency from 0 (i.e. totally opaque) to 100 (totally transparent).

Note:
Transparency of individual elements of a vector is not supported by Flash – use overall object transparency instead.

  1. Use the Join panel to set the type of join from one of the four options available. Set the Mitre point if required.

  2. Use the Pen Style panel to set the style of the line. Click on the down arrow to select a style from the list. You can also chose to set an end cap (for example an arrow head) at either end of your line by selecting the style you want from the drop down palette at the appropriate end of the line.

7. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.
