Outline Colour and Width

All objects drawn with the Opus drawing tools can have an outline and fill.

You can set the Outline width and the Outline colour. Alternatively, you can have no outline to a drawn object.

Note:
The outline and fill of the object are specific to each constituent polygon or contour in a vector object.

Note:
Other objects in Opus can also have outlines but these are set using the Border tab in the object’s Properties dialog box.

To set the Outline width for a polygon/contour:

  1. Select the Draw object on the page by clicking on the object.

  2. If the object has more than one constituent element, select the part you want by clicking again or by selecting the relevant sub-object in the Organiser.

  3. Click the down arrow beside the Outline Width indicator on the Object Properties toolbar.

  4. Select the width of the outline by clicking on it in the list.

  5. If required, select the line style you want to use from the drop down list of line styles.

Note:
You can also access the outline style controls on the Line tab of the Properties dialog for the object.

To set the Outline colour for a polygon/contour:

  1. Select the Draw object on the page by clicking on the object.

  2. If the object has more than one constituent element, select the part you want by clicking again or by selecting the relevant sub-object in the Organiser.

  3. Right mouse click your chosen colour from the colour palette. The outline colour box will change to the colour you selected.

  4. If the colour you require is not available, double-click on any empty colour well. This will bring up the Colour Selector dialog box and allow you to create a custom colour.

To set No Outline:

  1. Select the drawn object on the page.

  2. Right mouse click on the None button image\Colour_None.jpg on the colour palette. This will cancel the outline to the drawn object, in other words, if you had drawn an object with an outline, the outline will disappear.
