More page

The More page in the General folder of the Options dialog provides additional options to change the way the Opus environment works.

To edit the More page settings:

1. Use the spin buttons on the Action Palette panel to set the size of the font used for the descriptions of the actions in the Actions tab. Tick the Use Opus 2 Style palette option if you want to use the classic style for the Actions tab (i.e. sub tabs running at the bottom of the Actions tab rather than a menu system).

2. Tick the Auto Expand when adding items option in the Actions Tree panel if you want the Actions Organiser to resize when triggers and actions are added that are too large for the current space provided.

3. Tick the Auto Focus new items option in the Actions Tree panel if you want the tab for the trigger or action just added to the Actions Organiser to be opened so you can edit the settings.

4. Tick the Force new object names… option in the Names panel to only allow names that are valid OpusScript names for new objects you create in Opus.

Note:
Valid names are based on the ECMA compatible object names, which are: letters, numbers and the ‘$’ and ‘_’ symbols.

5. The Automatic Text Format options control the reformatting of text as you type it into the editor.

Hypertext URLs – Any URLs (i.e. web addresses) are automatically converted into a hypertext item which launches that URL in the default web browser.

Use smart quotes – Simple quotes (for example " and ‘) are converted to smart quotes (i.e. and ); that is quotes that curl correctly to mark the beginning and end of the quoted text.

Other (Fractions, (c), (r), (tm) …) – Other symbols such as copyright (ฉ), and registered trademark (ฎ) are automatically inserted in place of their plain text equivalents.

6. Check the Automatically use the first available Master Page option in the New Pages panel if you want new pages to use the first Master page available in the current chapter by default. If no master page can be found in the current chapter the first master page in the whole publication will be used.

7. Click the OK button to save your changes.
