Defaults page

The Defaults page in the Options dialog box provides settings to change which options are set in the Video tab, Image tab, Transitions tab and Slideshow tab in the Properties dialog box.

The Defaults tab is split into three panels:

1. The Video panel allows you to set the default entry for specific options in the Video tab. When you create new Video objects on a page or if you create a new publication, the options you set here will also be set in the Video tab.

2. The Images panel allows you to set the default entry for the display options in the Images tab. When you add a new object on a page or if you create a new publication, the options you set here will also be set in the object’s Image tab.

3. The Miscellaneous panel allows you to set the Exclusive option in the Transitions tab and/or the Slideshow tab. When you create a new object on a page or if you create a new publication, the Exclusive option you set here will also be set in an object’s Transitions tab and Slideshow object’s Slideshow tab.

Note:
Any options you select in this tab only affect the settings for newly created objects or new publications, it does not affect object’s you have already added to your publication.

To edit the Video panel settings:

1. Click on the down button beside the first box in the Video panel to set from four options: Chroma Key, On Top, Overlay or Disabled.

2. Click on the down button beside the second box in the Video panel if you want to change how a video should be displayed in the Video object’s bounding box. A list of the display options will appear, you can select from Fixed, Tile, Centred or Scale to Fit.

3. Click on the Keep Aspect option if you want this option ticked in the Video tab for newly created Video objects.

4. Click on the Start automatically option if you want this option ticked in the Video tab for newly created Video objects.

To edit the Images panel settings:

1. Click on the down button beside the box in the Images panel if you want to change how an image should be displayed in an object’s bounding box. A list of the display options will appear, you can select from Fixed, Tile, Centred or Scale to Fit.

2. Click on the Keep Aspect option if you want this option ticked in the Image tab for newly created objects.

3. Click on the Bilinear Resample option if you want this option ticked in the Image tab for newly created objects.

Miscellaneous settings:

1. Click on the Exclusive Show/Hide Transitions option in the Miscellaneous panel if you want this option ticked in the Transitions tab for newly created objects.

2. Click on the Exclusive Slideshow Transitions option if you want this option ticked in the Slideshow tab for newly created Slideshow objects.

3. Click on the Automatically add actions to scroll text option if you want the Quickbuild menu’s Add Scroll actions to be added to the object.

4. Click on the Wait for sounds to finish before next action can start by default option if you want this option ticked for newly created sound actions.
