The Stretch Effect

Stretch is one of the options in the Category list on the Effects tab in an object’s Properties dialog box.

This effect allows you to stretch an object horizontally, vertically or both. In the example below the image has been stretched horizontally to 150% and vertically to 50% of its original size:

Note:
Although stretching the object could be done simply by stretching the object in the Opus workspace, this effect is normally used for different appearances (states) for an object. For example you might want to select the Mouse Over appearance of an object and then enlarge it by 10%. This way the item will grow by 10% every time the mouse moves over it.

To edit the settings for the Stretch effect:

  1. If you want to stretch the object Horizontally, Vertically or both, use the spin buttons beside the option to increase or decrease the amount of stretch. By default both options are set to 100%, (their original size).

  2. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.
