Custom Colour Palettes

As well as the standard Colour Palette, you can create your own customised Colour Palettes. This is particularly useful if you have a set list of colours that you want to use over several publications.

To create a customised Colour Palette:

  1. Click on the Add Blank Paletteimage\Palette_Tool_Add.jpg button in the palette bar of the Colour Palette. This will automatically add a new Custom tab to palette bar.

Note:
The first time you add a new palette, the name of the new Custom tab will be Custom 1, the second Custom 2 and so on. You can rename the custom palette in the Colour Selector box.

  1. Double-click on the white colour well in the new custom palette to open the Colour Selector dialog box.

  2. Add your new colours to the custom palette in the Colour Selector dialog – see Using the Colour Selector for more information.

  3. Click on the S button in the Custom panel of the Colour Selector dialog to save the custom palette. This will open the Save Palette dialog box – see Load and Save Palette dialogs for more information.

Note:
You may want to save all of your customised palettes in the same directory so you know where to find them for later projects.

To open an existing custom colour palette:

  1. Right-click on the Colour Palette to open the right-click menu and select the Load Palette option. This will open the Load Palette dialog box – see Load and Save Palette dialogs for more information.

To close a colour palette:

  1. Click on the name tab of the palette.

  2. Right-click on the Colour Palette to open the right-click menu and select the Remove Palette option. You will be prompted to save any changes that have been made to the palette.
