Scroll To Line Action

image\Action_Scroll_To_Line.jpg

The Scroll To Line action is used to scroll to a specific line number in a text object. The new line will appear at the top of the text object’s frame.

Note:
This action will do nothing if the bottom line of the text is already showing.

Setting up the Scroll To Line action:

1. Add the Scroll To Line action to your trigger, as described in adding actions. The Scroll To Line tab will automatically appear when you add the action.

2. Click on the name of the text object in the text object list that you want to use this action with.

3. Enter the line number in the Line number field that you want to appear at the top of the text frame. Use the spin buttons to increase or decrease the line number.

Note:
The first line of text in your text box is line number 0, the second line is line number 1, the third line is line number 2, and so on.

4. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.

Note:
Opus provides a shortcut method of adding Scroll actions to a Text or Button object using the Add scroll actions option in the QuickBuild menu – see Add Scroll Actions for more information.
