Follow Script Action

image\Action_Animation_Script.jpg

The Follow Script action is the most versatile animation as it allows you to set up a series of commands that your object follows to move around the screen.

Note:
The Follow Script action should only be added to the object you want to animate. You cannot select another object name to perform this action. For this reason, this action is normally used with an On Show or Left Mouse Click trigger.

Setting up the Follow Script action:

1. Add the Follow Script action to your trigger, as described in adding actions. The Follow Script tab will automatically appear when you add the action.

2. The list of available commands is provided in the Commands available list on the left side of the panel. Use the scroll bars to move up and down the list of commands.

Note:
Each command is an action and has its own set of option settings (see command options for more information). Each command you select will change the list of options at the bottom of this panel.

3. The Current animation script box shows the list of commands to be performed when this action is triggered.

Note:
Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons beneath the Current animation script box to re-order the list of commands. Simply, select the command in the box (it will become highlighted in blue) then click on the Move Up or Move Down buttons to move it one place above or below its current position. You can move a command as often as required.

4. Click on the Add button to add a command to the Current animation script box.

Note:
The command will be added below the currently highlighted command in the Current animation script box. Every time you add a command select the option settings at the bottom of the panel (see command options for more information).

5. To delete a command from the Current animation script box, first select the command (it will become highlighted in blue) and then click on the Delete button.

6. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.
