The Copy Object to Clipboard action will copy the specified object to the Windows clipboard, where it can be pasted into another software application.

Note:
Some of the objects in a publication cannot be copied to the clipboard, such as Timelines, Script Objects and DocViews.

Setting up the Copy Object to Clipboard action:

1. Add the Copy Object to Clipboard action to your trigger, as described in adding actions. The Copy Object to Clipboard tab will automatically appear when you add the action.

2. Click on the name of the object in the object list that you want to copy to the Windows clipboard. The object list contains all of the objects on the page.

Note:
Only one object can be selected in the object list.

3. Click on the Paste in native format option if you want text within a text object to be pasted into a new application (e.g. a word processor) as text and not as an image. By default this option is ticked.

4. Click on the Apply button to save your changes.
