The Paste Vector Pen/Fill options in the QuickBuild menu allow you to paste pen and/or fill information from one polygon into another polygon or group of polygons.
Make sure you have used the Copy Vector Pen/Fill option to copy the pen and fill styles of an object – see Copy Vector Pen/Fill feature for more information.
Select the polygon (or polygons) that you want to paste (i.e. apply) the new styles to.
Select Paste Vector Pen/Fill menu from the QuickBuild menu – a second level menu provides options for which of the pen and fill styles you want to paste.
Pen Only – Apply only the pen style, leaving the fill unaffected.
Fill Only – Apply only the fill style, leaving the pen unaffected.
Pen and Fill – Apply both pen and fill styles.
The copied styles are stored in a Vector Pen/Fill Clipboard (like the standard Windows Copy Clipboard) and remain in the clipboard until you run the Copy Vector Pen/Fill option again. This means you can continue using the Paste Vector Pen/Fill option on polygons on different pages in your publication or whenever you add a new vector polygon.
When you want to copy the pen and fill of a different polygon, use the Copy Vector Pen/Fill option again and then repeat steps 1 to 4 above – see Copy Vector Pen/Fill feature for more information.
