Creator has a number of options available for you to customise the way it works. We hope that the default settings are the most convenient but you can customise the Workspace to your liking and to give yourself more room to work in.
You can change the relative size of the Organiser panel and the Page View area as follows:
Move the mouse over the division between the two sections until the cursor changes to a splitter control
Clicking on the bar with the left mouse button and drag the divider to where you want it.
Release the mouse button and the two panels will resize to this new position
If you feel you do not need the status bar at the bottom of the workspace, which provides information about your object size, and/or your cursor location you can turn it off.
Select the View menu.
Click on the Status Bar option on that menu.
The status bar will no longer be displayed.
To reinstate the status bar simply repeat this process.
If you feel you do not need the colour selection palette at the bottom of the workspace you can turn it off. Note that you will then need to use the Properties dialog for each object to set the colour.
Select the View menu.
Click on the Palette Bar option on that menu.
The colour palette will no longer be displayed.
To reinstate the palette simply repeat this process.
This option allows you to work with the maximum space available with only the minimum toolbars and windows available.
1: Press F10 or click the Full Screen Mode button
2: To return to the main editor, repeat the above process.
Creator now features the option of having your Settings dialog roll up out of the way when it is not being used. This allows you to keep it open and select new objects to edit without continually opening and closing the dialog. You can switch this feature on and off as required.
