Using the Comment Tool

On the Insert menu Tools toolbar is the Comment tool image\Icon_Object_Comment.jpg. Use this tool if you want to add a comment to a page or frame in your publication and type directly into it.

A Comment object allows you to add notes for yourself or other people who will be editing your publication. This can be particularly useful in collaborative projects - when someone else has done some work on a publication they can note any changes or suggestion in a comment on the relevant page.

To add a comment box:

  1. Draw a Comment object on the page as described in Adding Objects to a Page.

  2. Click inside the Comment box. The I-beam cursor will begin flashing inside the box.

  3. Type your comment. By default each new comment has the current username, date and system inserted into the text. This can easily be deleted if you do not want to use it.

Note:

Comment objects have no tabs tabs in Properties dialog box. They cannot be affected by actions and will not appear in your published publications.
