Adding Bullets to Text

In Opus you can have both text and graphical bullet points. A graphical bullet is a shape or image rather than a text bullet point. With bullets, the colour of the bullet can be a different colour to the text.

To add a bullet point to a Text box:

  1. Draw a Text object on the page as described in Adding Object to a Page. A bounding box will surround the Text box.

  2. Click on the down button image\Bullet_Down_Arrow.jpg beside the Bulletimage\Bullet_Toolbar_Button.jpg button on the Format toolbar – this will open the Bullet list showing the standard and graphical bullets available.

  3. With the Bullet list open, you can change the colour of the bullet using the Colour Palette – see Changing the Colour of Bullet Points for more information.

Note:
You must change the colour before you select the bullet style you want.

  1. Select the bullet style you require from the Bullet list – the list will close and the bullet point will be inserted into the Text object.

Note:
The currently selected bullet style and colour will be used for each new bullet point until you repeat steps 2 to 4 above.

  1. Start typing your text after the bullet point. If the text reaches to the end of the box, it will automatically wrap to the next line in the box.

  2. Press the Enter key every time you want to add a new bullet point to the box and type in the text after the bullet point.

At any time you can choose a different bullet for the box by repeating steps 1 to 4 above.
