The Default Button Font page

The Default Button Font page in the Fonts folder of the Options dialog allows you to set the font type, size, style and colour that is used when you create a new Button object on a page.

To edit the Default Font settings:

  1. The Default Font tab in the Options dialog box allows you to set the font type, size, style and colour that is used when you create a new Button object on a page – these are the standard formatting boxes found in the Format toolbar.

  2. The Format toolbar will reflect the settings you make in this box. In other words, if you set the Default Font Button tab to use the font Times New Roman with a size of 10pt that is coloured blue, then when you draw a new Text object, the text you type in the box will use this default format.

  3. Use the Background option if you want to add a background colour to the text.

  4. Use the Shadow option if you want to add a shadow to the text and set the colour of the shadow, level of transparency and its offset across (i.e. the X box) and down (i.e. the Y box) from the original text.

Note:
Although any newly created Button object will use the default font options set in this tab, you can change its text formatting at any time using the Format toolbar and colour palette.
