Creating Tests and Quizzes

Opus is an ideal tool for creating simple tests, quizzes and questionnaires as part of training programs or educational materials or simply for entertainment or promotional items. Internal and customer questionnaires can be very valuable feedback tools and they are often expensive and time-consuming to produce by the other methods.

Opus can be used to produce multiple-choice type test questions or type-in the answer questions where the answers given are reviewed manually.

A wide range of Page Templates for tests are offered in the Question Object – see Introducing the Question Object for more information.

These provide all the variations for a series of correct responses to true/false or multiple-choice questions. The correct buttons are automatically programmed to increase a special SCORE variable by one.

Many also provide text for you to display when the question has been answered but please note that this text is not dependent on the answer given and so should be used for further instructions or to display the current score, not to congratulate the user.

You can display the score on the page using a variable – see Displaying Variables on a Page for more information.

There are many more variables and options to produce more complex scoring and to store results to disk.
